I am currently a film major at Arizona State University, where I attend their campus near my home in Los Angeles (ASU in California). I am thrilled to attend film school and gain as much knowledge and experience as possible. This year, my desire and ambition has led me to securing an internship, writing a short story, acting in a short film, providing the lighting and casting for a promo that was shot at my house, and working as a PA on another film project in South Central Los Angeles. My classes, internship, and involvement with the film industry have provided me with outlets to become a better storyteller, collaborate, and learn in a hands-on setting. I am proud of these experiences and I continue to push my boundaries outside of what my school has to offer.
I started getting into the film industry through acting. Even though I am more focused on filmmaking, I enjoy acting for fun. I feel like stepping into the shoes of an actor also makes me a more versatile director. I acted in a short film called "Cemetery Games. "In this teen horror film, three best friends decide to meet in a cemetery at midnight to play games that were advertised around town. I was cast as “Cameron,” one of the three main characters. This involved auditioning, memorizing lines, working on set, attending ADR sessions, and the film screening. “Cemetery Games” won 14 film festival awards.
